Committee details

This committee consists of five councillors who are not members of the employment policy committee.

The committee is responsible for considering whether individual appeals have established grounds for appeal according to the council’s policies and procedures and for gathering further evidence at appeal committee hearings so as to decide whether an appeal should be upheld or rejected. Appeals may also be made under the council’s employment policies or under the council’s complaints procedure.

The committee meets as required.
